AHEM. Yeah. lol
Guess I’m musically falling for this guys (MAYBE 400 scrobbles on my LAST.FM in less than a week is a very good evidence of it, lol).
These guys are Chrigel Glanzmann and Anna Murphy from Eluveitie - he’s the founder/vocalist/ player of many instruments and she’s the hurdy gurdist/second voice.
I know Eluveitie since 2009 or so, but I would only listen to “Inis Mona” and “Slania’s Song”, because their music is very based on grunts and it was not really my thing (it still doesn’t, but nowadays I’m much more “tolerant” to them XD).
I think it’s the phase I’m living through, which involves a lot of change (mainly how I face things in my life and how I dress myself), and Eluveitie is sort of translating this change into their music - the metal / grunts being this “courage” I must have to change, and the celtic/folk parts represents to me a “return to my origins”, the search for my identity / style, of who I really am. (By the way, I’m not related to Irish/celtic people in any way, this conection I have with them is more spiritual than anything else, it’s the best explanation I have for it).
I don’t know what’s gonna be - if Eluveitie is going to change my life like Within Temptation or Florence, did if I’m going to become a fan, or if it’s just a musical phase I have to go through due to the circunstances, but I’m certainly enjoying all of it so, so very much! <3 Their music is certainly very captivating and they are one of the most insane and talented people ever! XD
About the drawing itself:
I wanted to make a stylized portrait of them, but using realistic colors. The result is not what I had in mind, but I really like it anyway! *-*
